Yea i i understand. You still cant go taking that **** and destroying it all. Its water and milk. Guns and **** fair enough. It is probably more sad that they were expecting to be pepper sprayed and tear gassed. Sure do that to the looters but it didnt look like that was happening there
I assume the cops thought the people were prepping for trouble later, if they were and I was a cop, I'd have done exactly the same. A lot of the footage shown in some of these clips is people trying to box the police, especially cop cars in. The reason they want to do that was evident in LA last night, where they torched them all. I get why they are angry, but we can't exactly not expect the cops to fight back. Afterall, every police station, every cop car is paid out of taxpayers money. Once law and order breaks down, the destruction of businesses and livelihoods takes place. So yeah I'm angry with the cops too, but would I expect them to fight me back, yup I certainly would. I get fooking fined these days for chucking a butt on the ground, whereas they've got loons running amock from state to state.
I can’t even pretend to be that bothered about the aftermath tbh. Black or White the yanks do my head in so just let them slaughter each other. The world could do with a good laugh at the moment.
When i see these videos all I think is And the rocket's reeeed glaaaare, the bombs burrrrsting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still thereeeeee!!! Ooooooo say does that star-spangled banner yet waaaave... O'ER THE LAND OF THE FREEEEE! AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE!!!
So this is what i've learned today from the news channels CNN and SKY News... The riots and damage to property is caused by people coming from outside of the state. On SKY a black representative also covered off why the minority family businesses were being attacked, apparently it wasn't the protestors but white supremacists coming into the area and doing it. Righto.
To be honest, the pot was already boiling and this was always going to happen with the next needless black death at the hands of rascist US cops ... inevitable... and depressing
I have no doubt about that mate, that's something we fully agree on. But i've also seen some of the looting, one of the shops targeted, was high end jewellers, I particuarly remember a white girl, yes a white girl, not black, running out the shop with her ill gotten gains, some people are hiding behind the death of George Floyd, to satisfy their own greed. Much like the young woman I spoke about yesterday, leaving the looted Target with two bed side lamps
