No one said give peopleon the dole more money to sit on their arses. Absolutely no one.

If you want to lift people out of poverty, you need to provide opportunities for them to work their way out of it. It's not always that simple, granted, because people have complex problems. But societies that just abandon their most vulnerable people, end up paying a price for that.

You can’t suddenly give people morals. Lobbing money at people will achieve what? Same as people in work always want more money. So again what is the end goal? I don’t see how higher benefits solve anything. Higher minimum wage which is discernibly higher than benefits may work. But then what about people who can’t work the system will always be flawed as it can’t be fair on everyone. There will always be people who take advantage of it.

Anyway I’ve just been referred to as a prejudiced c unt by some being prejudicial to me. Because I don’t agree that simply giving people money will solve anything. <ok>

I'm not talking about higher benefits for people on the dole. I'm talking about supporting people to acquire the skills they need to get decent well paid work. Supporting single mothers with childcare so they can improve things for their families. Stuff like that.

Anyway, I'm off. Racing's on. I'm hoping to lift myself out of poverty with a couple of winners.

I just called you out, because @Suckmyklopp failed to do it the other day, when you were being racist, but I expect he was busy with Comm Bob at the time.

There was a lot of EDL mutants, at the Guildhall today. Walking around with their Sainsbury's local bags, full of Stella, trying to look hard.

I was shiny hunting, but I sat down to watch them for a bit. I thought about going to B and Q for some paint and a big brush but I couldn't be bothered.

As I've stated plenty times, your opinion on anything has zero resonance with me. It's completely ****ing irrelevant.

People have to want to work. Start of lockdown farmers had to pay to ship over Romanians to work in the fields. Where was the queue of unemployed folk over here to earn money. I fell out with a mate over it. He was forever whining about his lot as lost all his work this year due to corona yet would rather claim benefit than work in a field. Mental.

Interesting post. I too wonder what the ultimate end game here is as I've not seen anything like that stated here other than the removal of statues etc which ultimately isn't going to solve institutionalised racism.

I'd also agree that in the present day UK that we've a far a bigger problem with discrimination towards asain than black. Not that there isn't an issue with the latter of course.

There's definitely some more extreme factions at play here too like the cleaning of shoes nonsense and so forth. Worst thing about that is they probably don't realise the damage that'll be doing to the wider cause.

I'm a white man who stands against racism. There's no way I'm gonna be kissing no ****s shoes or apologising for the behaviour of my 'ancestors' though. Once that starts becoming the norm you run the risk of things going too far the other way as you allude to.

    Complex situation.

Well that didn't take long for Chief & Sweats to hold brotherly hands. I love renting space in people's heads, it don't take long to bring them out into the open, and as per, they didn't disappoint.
