Reminds me of Brick Lane in 1993... BNP were doing a "paper sale" intimidating and attacking local Asians and anti racists. Various anti racist groups joined together with local community groups and agreed to confront the nazi loving scum the following Sunday. The BNP put out leaflets bragging they were going to turn up with their C18 (stood for combat Adolf Hitler) hardnuts. They were beaten stupid and chased out of Brick Lane. The press and politicians claimed both sides were as bad as eachother but if the politicians and the police had done their jobs and stopped the fascist scum from attacking people that ruck would never had happened. I am proud of my role in that and other struggles. Britian has a proud history of opposing fascist scum from Cable Street in the 30s to the 43 Group in the 50s, to the Anti Nazi League and others opposing the NF in the 1970s, and the anti BNP campaigns in the 90s and the don't vote nazi campaigns in the 2000s. The EDL are fascists...and in my view have no place in a democratic society because the whole aim of fascism is to kill democracy, and everyone who does not agree with it or fit into their view of the world. .....rant over...
The police don't want to engage BLM and the protests, due to the optics. They'll be quite happy to take to opportunity to steam into a bunch of old football hooligans with records. It'll be interesting to see what orders they get from those on high.

Question, why did they go by so many different names ie NF, BNP, EDL...were they the same group, just trying to disguise by a change of name who they are. It's a bit like the group, that I think are called, Britain First. I wouldn't immediately have identified them, as a right wing group, you just learn from people's discussions who they are. I suppose I don't go searching the realms for them, if you get what I mean.
But not until our uses of them as Vital NHS ( Amongst other things ) employees is no longer required , then they can F Off , and it will all be forgotten
The BNP we formed by ex members of the NF . EDL are just a bunch of street thugs . Britain First like Combat 18* are an avowed terrorist organisation and as such both got infiltrated by the security services . * Combat 18 were never officially designated as a terrorist group unlike Britain First but certainly wanted to be one .
I agree with you about the EDL. I’ve also an issue with the BLM movement. Last I heard it was 49 police officers injured which is ridiculous but whatever. They hurt a horse though, that’s what’s really pissed me off. I’m sticking to what I think and that’s both sides are acting the **** so let them slaughter each other.
