Don't remember seeing much of Robson but Dobson was at least on par with Power last season and he was better than Leadbitter. Power offers more as a captain and has the odd rocket shot and Dobson is stronger in the tackle and in the air.
Don't get all the hate for him, maybe people are getting carried away because he picked up a red.
Views vary as they should, mine is that we have seen a lot of the Power/Dobson combination without them looking totally convincing. Its not that they are bad players. But Leadbitter, surely must be the first name on the team sheet in his current form. and Scowen would be my pick for the other spot just to see what he brings to the table. But I'd be fine with Power or Dobson tbh playing alongside Leadbitter.

Leadbitter I was a little apprehensive about prior to watching him play. But he looks fitter, stronger, and in the right headspace this season. Last season he was miles off. But, as you say, he should be the first name on the teamsheet. After Wyke of course.........

Not that I am boasting but I think I was the first on here this season to forward the idea of bringing Leadbitter back into the team, my idea was to surround him pacy players who are comfortable with the ball being played along the ground, Hume, O/9, Neil and Diamond for instance and control the game in this way. I also thought Grigg was our best option up front with this system was either Gooch or Maguire, (not both ever) up front alongside Grigg. In hindsight I am beginning to think this was probably too risky and am reasonably happy with the way things are going, but there's always room for improvement. And even I cant be wrong all of the time .
Back this weekend. Bet Parkinson is buzzing his little nut off. Goes straight back in the starting line up, Leadbitter on the bench and no place for Neil.
