I might do that. Gangsters, both fiction and non-fiction, are a particular interest of mine. I have a Charlie Bronson original painting hanging in our downstairs khazi. Waiting for the fruit loop to die so I can flog it for £££.
I certainly don’t think a copper’s life is worth more than anyone else’s. But we ask them to do society’s dirty work and keep us safe in our beds, so it’s fine by me if cop killers are treated exceptionally harshly. The harshest treatment of all should be reserved for child killers btw, not cop killers.
Putting it like that has even more consolidated my view that life should mean life for any murder. I think you've totally taken out of context what I've said. I've tried to make it clear in every post on this thread that I've no issue with the police and I'm against the killing of any police officers, as I am, with any person or animal. I don't think it's okay to kill a copper. Criminals see the police as their enemy and have done since the beginning of time. Killing a police officer has never been frowned upon in the criminal world, even that lunatic from Manchester who threw grenades at and shot at killing two policewomen had become quite the celebrity inside jail by all accounts. What we see as okay and what career criminals see as okay are two completely separate things.
Harry Roberts is our friend, is our friend, is our friend. Harry Roberts is our friend, he kills coppers. Shoots the bastards in the head, in the head, in the head... Never mind the jails, that's what they sang on football terraces. https://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?341683-The-Chant-of-Shame-at-Selhurst-Park
I didn't take anything out of context, you said those inside celebrate someone that has killed a copper, I've never heard of that and when I debated it with Libby he admitted he hadn't either.
Bit like punks wearing swastikas and saying offensive stuff - attention seeking and being edgy. I never sung that but wasn't at games where anyone did. Mind, when I think of some songs I joined in with back in the mid 80s I cringe...
Bit like the right wing racists that strolled into Liverpool recently, where did they hide, behind coppers. Funny ole world.
My Nan was a proper east end girl and she used to say the same thing. All of this crap that the twins only played rough with other criminals was bollocks. She use to tell stories of when the twins went into a boozer, they got everyone a drink, but of course they never actually paid for the round, the landlord had to swallow that cost.
It was merely a question, mate. I'm just wondering how far you're prepared to go with all the gypsy hatred.
