England beat Papua New Guinea 36-6 to reach the Rugby League WC semi-final. Some people seem to want to find a second team to support to lessen the pain....and we know that is impossible once a football team is in our DNA....but perhaps we need to find a different sport.
I watched the highlights of the Rugby League and Union, England games and they pass the ball backwards more than Saints do. But only just.
Ostersunds: Rise of Swedish club under English manager Graham Potter http://bbc.in/2yQ7dwZ Now here's a read.
Marcelo Bielsa has been suspended from duty at Lille, as they sit second from bottom in the French league. Is it time for us to make the call?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/42120902 Phew...missed a great game (if you aren't of a frail disposition). England were leading Tonga 20-0 with seven minutes to go, but only just managed to hold on. Final score 20-18. Meet Australia in final.
England women rugby union side beat Canada 69-19. Some real young talent....stand out star today was Jess Breach (apparently 17, but looks 13 with her plaits) scored 5 tries today....unstoppable once she gets into her jinking runs. Also scored 6 tries on her debut in the last game.
