What a grid for tomorrow now!

 

Charles needs to cut out these mistakes .

He is undoubtedly massively talented , but it’s getting to be a concern now .

He does. He's over-driving a tiny bit, in order to try and keep up with the RBR. I get it, but he just needs to dial it down ever so slightly - you could see he was on the edge on that lap. Mind you, you do kinda want your drivers to be pushing.

I don't care about the mistakes in free practice - Schumacher used to do exactly the same, in order to find out the limits - and he doesn't make *that* many mistakes in qualifying and the race, but he's getting a reputation for it, and yes, needs to try not to overdrive the car. He's ten times better than Alesi, so I wouldn't worry on that front.

 

To clarify.

CLC is far better than JA , I just wonder if the Ferrari thing is a burden as well .
That may not come across as well as I mean , it would make more sense if we were actually talking to each other .

 

Oh the Ferrari thing is a burden, for sure. But also if you gave him a car the quality of the Red Bull, I don't think you see those mistakes from him.

 

He's not best pleased with himself.

Something wrong with Charles’ car, no doubt about it. Really odd. A few drivers having horrid races. Just got to hope Max and Checo bosh each other out.

 

Haven't been able to bring myself to watch F1 so far this season and a cursory glance at this race hasn't done anything to change my mind.

 

Decent race for Mercedes after a poor qualifying. Their car doesn't seem to be a bad race car at all.

Browns get Smith, 2025 6th round and 2025 7th round

Vikings get 5th round 2024 and 5th round 2025

So Vikings got basically nothing, better than just outright cutting him though

 

I guess saving cap space is the main thing here. Although you can find hidden gems in the 5th round so you never know what those two picks will bring.

 

Yeah they need cap space to pay Jefferson/Hockenson and this should help with that.

Apart from making the team considerably worse this year I don’t hate the trade. Smith is 31 and obviously wanted to leave so to get anything for him was pretty good. Interesting now to see where Cook goes as Smtih wouldve been more valuable than Cook so can’t see them getting anything more than a 5th for him

 

Rain forecast for qualifying at Imola on Saturday and thunderstorms on Sunday. Rain + Imola = carnage.

 

Please not a full race behind a safety car though!
