Andy Murray continues to defy every sort of logic. He's just won a 5 set epic from 2 sets down, match length over 5 hours, finishing at 4am local time!
Despite looking dead on his feet and losing the first set 1-6, Murray has just won the second set on a tie breaker. Incredible strength of mind and body.
I think age, medical history and two 5 setters have done for Muzza. No disgrace in losing to Agut in 4 sets.
Might help if Murray knew that is possible to win in fewer than 5 sets. He’s won some great matches...imagine what he’d have achieved if he’d stayed fit. Had his first op in his teens when he had a tendon repaired...since then one thing after another. A brave and resilient man as well as a talented one.
So Chiefs v Bengals and Niners v Eagles as the two divisional games. Both should be pretty good games to watch, and at least one of the only 3 good teams in the NFC will be in the Super Bowl so that should hopefully make that a good game as well.
Whatever you think of Novak Djokovic, there is no doubt he is one of the greatest athletes ever to have lived. He’s only gone and won his 10th Australian Open in straight sets at the age of 35. Unbelievable.
Didn't realise people didn't like Djokovic tbh. Incredible athlete though like you say. Standard of tennis has been stupidly high the past couple of decades.
Yes. And there's been three teams outside of the 'top 5' to win it in 30 years, so obviously Southampton winning it is a realistic hope and not completely delusional.
There's no real point being a fan with that attitude. The idea of being a fan of a smaller club is to dream of winning the FA Cup. Yes we are aware the odds are not on our side but we're one winnable tie away from the QF's.
Your response to my point that the best thing you can hope to achieve is to avoid relegation was pointing out that you're still in two cups. Obviously that's no longer the case and thus strengthens my original point.
