I tell you what, the more I read about this guy the more excited I get. TE is almost as important these days as WR and Hockensen is the best TE Vikings have had in years. So far so good for the new front office.

TE isn’t seen as valuable a position, or a particularly valuable position at all tbh, but they can make a huge difference. If you look at positional value the Vikings almost certainly over paid for him, but he could be the missing piece in the Offence and help them regularly score around 30 points per game, which in turn should make up for that poor secondary on D a lot of the time

He can’t block at all which is concerning but should be a good passing threat

Having slept on it I do like the trade. It’s a QB heavy draft this year apparently but the Vikings have probably played their way out of getting any of the top ones as their pick will be too low and they ****ed up getting more draft capital for this year with the trade down with the Lions last draft.

They are currently predicted to be picking 31st, which I don’t think they will, it will be more like mid 20s but even then it would be very hard for them to go and get one of the better QBs.

So yeah giving up a low second and next year third for a high fourth this year and a possible 4th the year after for Hockensen isn’t too bad. You can get great tight ends very late in the draft, but they are in win now mode so think it’s a good deal for all parties

Washington aren’t as bad as some people make out. Their pass rush is one of the best around, and they’re luckily missing one of their best ones as well.

Woukdve been typical Vikings to lose because a ref took out their player when he was about to intercept the pass

Just need to rinse the clock now as, once again, the other team has **** the bed with clock management.

I saw that! Good defence from the Vikings today. Washington aren't a bad side TBF and they're coming in on the back of a 3 or 4 game winning streak. Still, need to win this ahead of a trip to Buffalo next week (surely Sky will pick that as their live game).

That will be a hugely costly penalty for Washington.

Jets beat the Bills. I did not imagine Vikings going to Buffalo with a better record than the Bills!

Would be interested to see the stats of one score games the Vikings have been involved in over the last 2 seasons. Must be basically every game.

Still don’t hold much hope for this team doing much beyond the regular season (and wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up something like 10-7 either). Just feels like the other team does something unbelievably stupid every game that hands the Vikings the win, but who knows maybe they stumble their way to a Conference game or maybe even a Super Bowl

With the Bucs and Packers struggling the NFC is wide open. Eagles are obviously favourites to reach the Super Bowl but Vikings are on their way to the number 2 seed as it stands. And in the play offs anything can happen.

I've just stumbled across this piece of sporting history, it's the first recorded 147 break by a woman. Her cueball control throughout is faultless..

Amazing! Even when she got out of position on a red, she always managed to pot it and get the perfect angle on the black.

I have to say that it reminded me of myself, when I used to play snooker.
15 reds on the table and hit the pink.
Absolutely amazing. Would have loved to have seen more of the celebration at the end.
