How is it rigged? It's extraordinarily bad luck for Hamilton, but letting the lapped cars through is standard operating procedure.

 

But they said lapped cars weren't allowed to overtake at first.

I mean F1 is nonsense anyway given there are two competitions going on at once - constructor and drivers.

 

Because they didn't think there was time to let the lapped cars through and get in a lap. When it was clear that they could let through traffic and still have a racing lap, they did so.

 

You can't just change your mind at the last minute and bring the safety car in. Just ****ing bollocks.

 

The better driver lost. Max incredibly lucky at the end of the day. Lewis had that in the bag until Latifi drove like a ****.

 

You can if you decide who you actually want to win …

 

That is just another thing I dislike about F1.
Virtual safety car means that you have to reduce your pace, but the gap between cars stays the same.
Actual safety car allows bunching which undoes all the work done by the lead driver.
In footballing terms it’s like an incident stopping a game at 3-0 then restarting at 3-2.
Total nonsense.

 

They didn't let them through, they only let the ones between Hamilton and Verstappen through. Which is unprecedented and only happen to allow Max to win.

 

What a fix. Utterly disgusting.

 

Making up the rules as you are going along, that stinks.
