In the summer, I shot a 51 at the age of 51; no coverage or big deal made of that! It was a tough 9 hole course as well....

Your post reminded me and Mrs Fats that we haven’t seen series 2 yet. Loved the first one; a really good approach for a different insight to what goes on.
Only this week I shot -12 over 9 holes on the Wii machine but it still counts. I haven’t played real golf for years, the closest I get is using the driving range when I go to Spain. Used to enjoy my occasional games (every second Sunday) and still fondly remember the two rounds where I genuinely shot 78, on par 70 courses. I forget about the others that were nearer 100 than 70.

just seen the first few episodes of season one . My god , if ever I needed proof that Horner is nasty and has no class , the bit where they announced to were going to Honda , and when Danny said he was going to Renault proved it !
It's a brilliant series, and really unlocks the personalities in F1. It's turned so many new people on to the sport. I love it.
I play only a handful of rounds a year, probably 4 full ones if I’m lucky. Never break 100 I do prefer 9 and in the last have managed to get in the 40s I’m due a game with Dave but not been able to get down there. Need to get him and Onionman on a round.
Four golfers were in the pro shop and the pro golfer asked how their round had gone. Golfer 1. I had 7 riders. Golfer 2. I had 8 riders. Golfer 3. I had 10 riders. Golfer 4. I had 15 riders. The pro, looking puzzled said “I have been playing golf for 20 years and I thought I had heard all the golfing terms, but I have never heard the term “riders”. What does it mean?” The reply. A rider is when you hit a shot far enough to need to get on the buggy and ride to the ball.
