England huffing and puffing in the first 20 minutes, but, gradually, starting to tighten the screw. Great score by Jonny May!
That looked nasty in the rugby, first game I’ve ever watched properly I think, not for me. Can someone explain why they were jizzing all over that try the guy scored where he jumped in the air? Is that not fairly basic?
That’s a dreadful injury - the player was on the ground and the player “cleaning him out” was also on the ground so he shouldn’t be able to touch him. Very poor refereeing ..... the Italian should be carded for dangerous play. The Jonny May “jump” was clever - you’re not allowed in rugby to jump into a tackle but you can dive for the line. If he had gone to the line “normally”, he’d have been knocked into touch. By going high and diving, he made the tackler miss and got a good score. Mind you, in my day, you couldn’t touch the flag as that was classified as “out of play” .......
Yeah I get it was a good move or whatever but the way they were talking about it it was try of the year or something when I would’ve thought it was fairly common. This is how you dive for the line
Video unavailable .... but I get what you’re saying. It’s just that it’s rare in rugby - common in American football. You must keep control of the ball in rugby (and that’s not easy when you’re diving ....)
THIS is how rugby SHOULD be played - much more interesting and more exciting. Referees actually applying the rules, less aimless kicking and incisive attacking ..... and forwards kicking penalties and conversions!!!
Thanks of posting. Looking at the size of the forwards in those days, they seem so much smaller. That match is why I always want Wales to win the 6 Nations. What a team - John Dawes, Gareth Edwards, Gerald Davies, JPR Williams, and the magician himself, Barry John.
Could be the end of his fantastic career. Shame he's had a lot of battles in the last couple of years whether it be drugs or keeping his bits to himself.
Word is that he broke both legs, depends how bad of course ....but sadly could be the end of his career.
Hopefully it is only two broken legs as a head, neck or back injury could be far worse. I am sure we wish Tiger a full recovery leading to the next stage of his career. As for golf, I feel he left behind his best around a decade ago and have only seen fleeting glimpses of his amazing talent since his last major win.
Sad to hear that rallying's Hannu Mikkola has passed. An absolute staple of tea-time Grandstand watching in the 80s.
Holy **** - looks like Mike Dean and Lee Mason have relatives in France who are refereeing the rugby. Dreadful decisions ...... absolute joke - and playing right into the idiots (like my friend) who keep saying the ref is anti-England because of Brexit
