The two you are mentioning are utterly irrelevant to me at this time.

Happy that Pompey scored 4, and helped you to a massive win!

Time to prepare for the new wave of tennis champions with Nadal and Djokovic being beaten by younger players with the capacity to outlast these evergreens at the ATP tournament. You would think these guys should get the better of Nadal and Djoko in the heat of the Oz Open.

Rashford to be given a special award at SPOTY for what he's done off the pitch. He won't be nominated for the main award as that is based on sporting achievements. I think the winner of that is a foregone conclusion already.

In rugby, England lead Wales 11-7 at half time. I understand basic rules, but not the finer points so watching with a Welsh commentary causes some problems as there is a lot of wandering around talking to each other :)

England are considerable better than Sales but lack something that other great teams in the past have - Flair! Good try for England, though and well worked.

The Wales v England match has become incredibly turgid. When are England going to play with creativity? They have the biggest choice of players in the World and come up with a very ordinary performance.

A team that mullered New Zealand really has little excuse for playing such a conservative game as England produced today. Positives: Itoje is immense, the defence is incredible and as we saw in the.lead up.to.England's.try, quick ball, swift interchange of passing and rapid reléase of the ball and fast passing along the line is wonderful to see. More is the pity that England negated this move for the rest of the match. These England players are very good and it would be great if they could leave a legacy behind them instead of the largely turgid stuff they provided today. Wales were there for taking apart this afternoon.

Quite agree. Having watched the ABs demolish the Pumas, I was looking forward to seeing England so the same to Wales. Whilst I’ll admit that Wales played SO much better than they had done recently, England could still have opened up and played more attacking rugby instead of playing conservative kick tennis. Yes, there were positives but boy oh boy are we going to get shown a thing or two by the Southern Hemisphere if we don’t start using our attach better!

Bloody Hell . How Romain Grosjean survived that is beyond me . One very VERY lucky man .

MRS J was in tears .

Romain Grosjean went off the circuit and hit the metal barrier so hard and at such an angle that the car went through the metal barrier while splitting in half so that the back half of Grosjean's car went away and the front half, with Grosjean in it, got lodged in the metal barrier after hitting it at about 140mph. The car subsequently burst into flames and Grosjean was really miraculously able to jump out and is relatively unscathed except burns to his ankles and hands.

It's a testament to the incredible progress F1 has made with both the cars and the gear that such a crash was survivable, never mind the fact that he was able to walk away.

Not for the first time, the halo did its job.
