When I played cricket, the batting team would provide umpires. One of our guys gave our best batsman out lbw and, afterwards, when the (slightly irate batsman) said to him “how could you give me lbw? You don’t even know the rule!” He was answered “well, to be honest, I wasn’t looking, but the appeal was so loud, I figured it must be out”
Needless to say, Mike wasn’t asked to umpire again! :emoticon-0103-cool:

Stroll on pole! Red Bull ****ed up by pitting Verstappen while on a purple lap to go on the intermediates. What a mistake that was.

No, they didn’t. He still did his quickest lap on inters. If they’d left him on wets, despite him going quicker on that lap, he’d have ended up fourth or fifth.

Sticks in my Throat , because as a person I cannot abide him . However . Credit where it's due , to do what he did in the wet proves he is a good driver !

England v Georgia RFU on Amazon Prime, if anyone is interested.
Georgia players have cornered the market in dodgy beards.

Am looking after my son's dog...we made it to the end of the drive for his first walk. This afternoon he refused to leave my porch. Strictly a fair weather pooch.

It’s yet another endearing feature about rugby, the home team always use their change strip if there’s a clash. I think it’s a relic of the amateur era, where the home team are more likely to have a change of kit lying around.

Where are NZ at the moment. They are nothing like the team of five years ago, but are still a good team. The teams they want to beat are Oz, SA, England and France si they won't lose too much sleep over this.

I think NZ were badly affected by being beaten up by England in that WC semi and would like a chance to "correcto" that.

Curious why, because my perspective has always been the opposite: as far as spoiled rich kids go (and let's be real, that's 90% of the field in Formula 1) Stroll seemed decent enough, but I wasn't fond of him as a driver (and in particular, being the first Canadian in forever in F1 with a purchased seat). He's still inconsistent, but I have to admit he's more talented than I gave him credit for.

Kid has talent. He's not particularly likeable for me, but talent, yes. Not mega, but certainly as good as quite a few of the field.

His dad is pretty dislikable too, but then look at Max and his dad...

I just can’t take to him , but yes he has talent . His dad is worse , but it’s a personal thing . Like LTL said look at max and his dad . Jos is an outright thug.
