Bugger, there’s the France bonus point. 35-20, France need another 16 points to take the title. Now we need Ireland to score.
35-27 FT England win the title on points difference. Not the same as a Grand Slam, but I’ll take that.
Just to keep Bernie in the manner to which he has been accustomed. It’s only ever about money now. I’ve stopped watching it, I’m afraid, which is a shame as I used to enjoy it so much.
Just goes to show how little I pay attention to F1 these days. Thanks! I didn’t know he was out of the loop. By the way, is Jim Clark still racing?
LOL . He sold to a new crowd that are pushing for 25 races a season . All about money as you say ! https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2017/jan/23/bernie-ecclestone-no-longer-f1-chief-executive https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/38723001 https://insideracing.com/formula-1/...-liberty-s-ambition-for-a-25-race-f1-calendar
I think I have posted this before. Reminds me of when I was watching lower league rugby union, in the midlands, with a teenager or early twenties refereeing the game. An ex player, in his fifties, was upset that an offside decision had been missed and called out, to the ref saying “I think you will find that they were offside, sir”. The respect stays with them.
When I was playing rugby back in the 80s, we had a lady ref one day ..... it was really difficult as captain (the only one allowed to speak to the ref in those days - seems to have changed now .....) to remember, so I called her “Sir .... sorry .... ma’am” all game ....... Then we had a ref who gave a penalty against one of our players for loudly swearing ...... I’m not sure that’s in the rules anywhere, but he wouldn’t be budged ....... made our line out calls a bit difficult as they were based off the letters of the phrase “John ****s Mary” and our hooker had Tourette’s ..... seem to remember we lost that game by quite a lot and I got into trouble for writing a scathing review of the ref to Hampshire refs association (not done in those days apparently). Turned out the ref was a vicar ...... but, come on ....
To be fair, they deliberately skip the ball across the lake, unlike my efforts where it (sometimes) skips across before sinking in the middle ...
For those golf fans who don’t have Sky, but do have IPTV, there are channels dedicated to The Masters on IPTV.
