It seems it’s old news from the fight last December: https://metro.co.uk/2019/02/10/tyson-fury-confirms-gave-huge-deontay-wilder-purse-charity-8508242/
Ahh ok. I need to spend more time on here so i'm up to speed. Stupid life getting in the way of this forum.
I thought the general consensus was Fury was hated because of his views on women, same sex relationships and general twatishness?
Hated is a bit strong. I disagree with him on a lot of issues, but certainly it's an incredibly generous thing he did in donating his purse from that fight.
Spectators at the Paris Olympics in 2024 will have to crane their necks a bit to watch the surfing competition live: it’s taking place nearly 10,000 miles away in Tahiti https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/50760437
Tbf, they don't even have the "fetch" in Cornwall or western coastal France. And it is part of French Polynesia. Those "Frenchies" don't get around to too much independence, do they.
Eliud Kipchoge Overseas Spoty!!! Great that a Kenyan has won the award given their massive contribution to the world of athletics through the ages!!
I still don’t like the way the record was set up to be broken with all the pace makers, him running in the slip stream, etc, etc. I’d like someone to beat 2 hours in a race without all the pre-set help.
I watched a programme about him yesterday, it was hard not to get emotional about how he is dealing with a bleak future. He's a giant of a man in every sense.
