Well .... I’m not sure to be honest ..... last year someone (can’t remember who) did the same to Kimi and got a 5 second penalty .... so they’re being consistent. If it had been the other way round, everyone would have been screaming that Hamilton should have been penalised. I think Seb should have conceded the lead then gone after Hamilton. He was clearly in the quicker car if he didn’t bottle it. Saying that, I’ve given up on F1. Just uninteresting these days ......
It was Verstappen . They are also saying that because of that incident they set a president. So they are stuck now . Don't blame the stewards , blame the rules and change them .
I was screaming this time that Hamilton should have been penalised... what the feck was he doing trying to overtake the Ferrari when I wanted it to win?
60km/h ... on the flat I bet! That’s the fastest I have ever got to on a bike and down a very steep hill.
Toronto Raptors win the NBA championship. The last time one of my teams was at the pinnacle of their sport, I was 8. I now have rather a lot of gray hair. I have done an unusual amount of drinking on a Thursday night. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
For those with a passing interest in cycling, La Vuelta 2019 starts on the Costa Blanca, with the first three stages being localish to Alicante airport. Stage 1 is 24th August. The first stage, an 18km time trial, is where I am currently holidaying, in Torrevieja. We couldn’t get to the local promenade this morning as it was closed off for a triathlon. We were redirected by the local police, away from the front, just as a horde of cyclists went flying down the road we wanted to take. They take their cycling very seriously out here and it isn’t unusual to end up behind a peloton of some description. I recall one day, returning from Orihuela to my urbanisation, when I decided to try the country road rather than the main road. I ended up behind a peloton of about 20 riders, waiting (im)patiently for a straight section of road on which to pass them. Eventually my opportunity arose and I took it. Moments later, I arrived at a small village, where traffic was directed around the outside of it. You’ve guessed it. Cyclists could go straight through the middle and I ended up slap bang behind the peloton again. I never used that road again. Anyway, information for those interested, below.
Alonso has won Le Mans for the second time. Bit fortunate as his team only took the lead with an hour to go, but a win is a win. Just got to sort the Indy 500 now ‘Nando.
Andy Murray now playing a doubles match. Not having any high hopes...been out a while and a new partner in Lopez....but great to see him back in action and free from pain. Apparently he was in so much pain he could hardly put his socks on or play with his children...enjoy the match, Andy. Got a lot of local support as you can imagine.
Straight sets win for Murray/Lopez. Enjoyed that. Tough on the number one seeds who might expect to play rabbits in the first round.
At Queen's Feliciano Lopez is having a busy day...won his semi-final in the men's singles and then had to finish the men's doubles quarter final with Andy. Having won that he has to play the semi-final of the doubles immediately....and just a little matter of the men's final tomorrow (and possible the doubles final).
Murray and Feliciano into the doubles final. Have watched nearly 8 hours of tennis today and Feliciano has been playing in all 3 games at 37 yrs old. Just a matter of 2 finals tomorrow then.
