As the tennis season progresses, I feel Daniil Medvedev is the guy to keep an eye on in forthcoming tournaments. He has already beaten Djokovic twice in recent months and seems to be playing well on the clay courts. Just the script necessary to win the French Open. As for the ladies Osaka is the lady of the moment.

Well done, not only to Kipchoge, but to all the Marathon runners who have participated in this great event. I could do it easily at a walking pace but it would take me about two days at the pace I set.

    Anyone watching Leeds v villa?

Plenty of players on the field that would improve saints.

Tuanzebe is the CB we need. Strong, composed, great on the ball. Wonder if Chelsea would sell (he’s on loan).
John mcginn, Phillips and Mings too, plus Leeds full backs and Hernandez. Hmmm

Haven’t seen any of the Marathon but that’s still impressive running from Farah, considering his age.

Talking of which, good luck to our own semicentenarian Franny Benali who starts his 7-day 7 Ironman challenge in Manchester at 6am tomorrow.

Yeah Mo didn't have his best race (it happens) and has ran marathons faster recently, still top quality running of course. He still would have been 3rd or 4th even at his pb showing how fast the race was! I think the guy that came second now holds the 3rd fastest marathon time of all time! Just looked up their ages Kipchoge is 34 and Mo is 36. So i suppose Mo is getting on a bit, but distance runners tend to get better with age (up to a point of course).

I donated again last night and entered a raffle to win a car. You'd think being part of the football fraternity with all it's riches, that he should have easily been able to break £1m by now. I'll be following his latest mad challenge closely. This man is a real life superhero!!

I’ve not donated yet this time; I will. I did a large donation (large to me, anyway) last time, but will again before he’s stopped collecting.

It does annoy me that he’s not raised way over his original target, with his football contacts.
