I do get it...he wanted to emulate his father and has done that. Hamilton's pursuit of him at the end suggests that next season will be tough. It has been mentioned that he doesn't like the F1 circus and hates the media stuff and he has talked about missing his children. It will be a summation of all these factors....he's a rich man who can probably pursue a more family friendly second career.
I agree, and so do I. If there is anything really to get, that is. He doesn't like the F1 circus. Casey Stoner, who I mentioned earlier, retired for that very reason, plus he wanted to spend more time with his family. All this talk of him not wanting to go up against another driver next season is second guessing where no second guessing is required, imo. Why not take the guy at his word.? He just doesn't want to do it anymore enough to carry on. Plenty of riders and drivers have called a halt seemingly early in their careers. I'm sure he'll have many more opportunities to thrill himself in the coming years without having to commit to an F1 season. I'm sure he has sufficient money too.
Just taking the guy at his word doesn't fit for a Hamilton fan. They want to believe the ulterior motive conspiracy. It's like the "if Hamilton hadn't blown his engine up, he'd be World Champion" line. Nobody knows if that would have panned out that way.
Tom would have done himself no harm to have modelled his long jumping technique on one of the great Olympian gods, Carl Lewis.
They've been in financial trouble for years so it's not a major shock. Such a shame though, especially as some really big names came through the LW club - JPR, Gerald Davies, John Dawes, Mervyn Davies to name just four
Great pity - my first ever game my dad took me to was London Welsh v All Blacks in late 60s I think. They had some fine players - what a shame ....

Gutted I couldn't get any streams at work due to their PCs not liking it Chisora Whyte sounds like a cracking fight.
It was full blooded both guys throwing good shots and getting hit. AJ absolutely breezed it. Eddie Hearn has just announced AJ vs Klitschko in April.
Yeah AJ was always going to... was more excited by the other fight tbh but never mind. That fight is scheduled for my birthday too... might try and make that.
So Bottas may go to Mercedes, and Massa coming out of retirement. I hope Massa doesn't regret it, but a new team may boost BOTTAS imho, he has tailed off a bit.
I really like Bottas and think that it's a good move by Mercedes. Interested to see how he gets on next year.
Yes I really rate him, hope the move re-ignites his career. Very dissapointed with Williams this year, they are a team I have admired for years.
