PL try the General Sports Thread, that’s why it’s there. No need for new thread. Have the discussion over there. If we all started a new thread on other sports then the place would be clogged up. Simple etiquette really.
I see your point but more people would see it as its own thread... And tbf, I was right as there have been no responses since the merger. Plus it is to do with football, so it should at least go into the other football thread.
I’d like more people to see when I post about F1 and rugby league, but I respect how things are done on here.
It’s always interesting to hear from you @PompeyLapras but I didn’t feel this board needed a thread about NFL, and the Barcelona story was, I believe, discussed here last week. Out of interest, why do you always choose the Saints board to broadcast your views, out of all the others on this site? Genuine question.
It was more about how insane the wage disparities are in football compared to the the NFL. Or most other sports tbf. And because the Portsmouth forum is dead af and I don't know anyone on any of the other forums, though I occasionally post on Plymouth's. Plus the general forum put me off most other PL forums . Not to mention you guys are all from England's finest county
Well I was born in Dorset and live in Somerset but I take your point! You see, I think the thread might have stood up if you hadn’t made it about NFL. As you say, the spread of salaries is smaller in most other sports than in football, so why not concentrate on that, rather than just NFL?
Got my ticket for Boston Red Sox v New York Yankees at London Stadium next June. It's going to be brilliant.
Tried it once to see The Twins. Shockingly dull and boring. It was Mothers' Day when I went and the best part was when they got mums to dance on top the pits.
Each to their own but as a baseball fan, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see the two most famous teams come to London. Mind you, I was shocked at some of the ticket prices. To sit right behind home plate will set you back £400.
I sat right behind the home plate for nothing when I went... still wasn’t Value for money *actually that’s not true. The lady who kept bringing me beer and monkey nuts was very cute.
It takes a certain type. You’ll tell us you’re a referee next and that you work in Qualty management systems
