ATL 3 New York Red Bulls 0 1st leg (effectively a semi final). Looks like ATL have it as NYRB need to win 4-0 against a Tata Martino side who are the best on the road and away goals count double ATL, ATL!!!! (I have to have something to cheer about)
https://www.bbc.com/sport/rugby-union/46337335 I hope the BBC recognise in their SPOTY program next month, the achievements of the All Ireland RFU side. 6 Nations Grand Slam Champions, Leinster European Champions, a perfect autumn in terms of results including that victory over the All Blacks and Sexton being nominated RFU player of the year. So what awards could they get? As it is an All Ireland team, I feel that would include them in the running for Team of the Year (Europe´s Ryder Cup side might have a valid claim but that was only against one side, whereas RFU Ireland have played many, coach of the year (Joe Schmidt), overseas personality if Ireland are seen as an overseas side (Sexton) and if seen as British then surely Sexton has to be in the running for the award?
For coming 4th in the World Cup? I just hope Ireland are rewarded for their fantastic achievements as their rugby team has far surpassed England´s football team in achieving things this year.
