Fleetwood second to Koepke after an incredible 7 under par final round. Missed out on first title by 1.
Good sofa day today....England ODI at 2.00 and Murray and Edmund at Queens. I shall be channel hopping....usually means I miss everything important. Not expecting great things from Murray....tough start against Kyrgios (let's hope he is having one of his regular meltdowns). Good to see Andy back. Amazingly the men's Wimbledon final is on at same time as the WC final....especially when you consider Wimbledon hasn't even started and we are in the middle of the pre-Wimbledon tournaments. Shows how long the WC is....great for footie fans, but I must tell my friend who is already nearly suicidal about wall to wall football. Well, what are friends for.
Boycott was a famously selfish cricketer....he preferred to bat slowly and get a good score even if that wasn't what the team needed. Ian Botham openly admitted to deliberately running him out in one match so that someone who would score faster could come in.
Murray takes first set 6-2. Andy is playing well and looks fit, but Kyrgios is his usual mix of brilliance, stupidity and can't be arsed. If Kyrgios actually liked playing tennis, he'd be a force to be reckoned with.
Edmund beat Harrison in straight sets. Helps being 7th seed. Murray was unseeded and will be unseeded at Wimbledon which reduces his chance of doing well.
Murray says he may play Eastbourne and not Wimbledon depending on how he feels. Bit tough to come back from a year out and go straight into a major tournament....without seeding he could come up against a tough opponent....as he did against Kyrgios. He needs games....not quick exits.
I hope that Andy gives Wimbledon a miss; knowing his luck he'll meet Federer in the 1st round which wouldn't do him any good at all. As you said, he needs to ease back into it with lots of shorter matches, not a possible 5-set first match! I honestly had my doubts whether he'd be back but there seemed to be lots of positives from Tuesday though I do wonder how he was feeling yesterday...
Article doesn’t seem to have much real basis, but I very much hope it’s true, both for him and Ferrari.
Yes I agree , hope its true though . Kimi has been " Entertaining " , and bloody quick on occasions , but time to blood a youngster IMHO .
I wonder if Seb had a say in it ? Doubt we will ever know , but interesting if he didn't want Charles as a team mate . Or maybe Seb is looking to go at the end of next season ?
Now Grosjean has binned it, they should send Charles out on some used super softs for a gentle roll around the track and he’ll start ahead of him (he could actually beat Sainz’s time too).
