Yeah it’s not the same. Same as with the golf since Peter Alliss died. But there’s still plenty of characters. Maybe it’s gone a bit too far down the route of being a piss-up but when I went a few times 8-10 years ago it was a great night out. Would still recommend to anyone who hasn’t done it.

Met John Lowe when I was a teenager - came and did a demo at the Constitutional Club next door to the offy I lived in - my old man was a pretty good darts player and played against him that night - he lost - as did everyone else ...

Bristow was the business ... his party trick was to leave himself 50 when doing those demos ... he would then throw his first two into the mat before hitting the bullseye with the third - top showman
 
Gabriel Clemens on stage now is a serious athlete like they used to be. German and looks very much someone you read about in 20 years finally being arrested for Maddie McCann.

Yeah ours too. VPN and do it through the club or the usual streaming sites.

Our game is so tragically poor it would shame the Jewish under-11s third division. 1-1 and we’ve not had a shot.

They’ve got a brilliant goalkeeper on loan and a few very good strikers for this level who will probably struggle in the Prem. That they’ve pissed it so easily thus far and probably only need 35 points max from here to go up says a lot about the league. It’s a whole load of equally **** teams who on their day will beat any of the others.

Pretty much. If these players were consistently any good they wouldn’t be playing in this league. This Wolves team would be around where Boro are now. The gap is enormous to the boring 13th-16th bit of the Prem. Every first choice player at Fulham or Everton would piss it.
