Based on absolutely no analysis at all I’d have guessed teams are worse than average in a new stadium. Which when you’re crap anyway is dangerous.

Said a couple of years ago that it wouldn't surprise me if they finally went down once they moved. The atmosphere at Goodison definitely helped a few times in recent seasons and you'll never recreate that in a new ground.

Don't see them going down under Moyes though.

They're pretty ****, but I think they'll have more than enough to stay up. The 3 promoted sides will all go down more than likely.

The goal was peak Martin. They had the ball on the edge of the St Mirren box then lost it and two passes later St Mirren were through on goal.
Just looking at their team there are players who are a million miles off being capable of winning that league and certain getting anywhere in Europe. They wouldn’t win our league.

I get the theory and I like Moyes but it’s a really poor squad even with Grealish. If Branthwaite, who is very good, is out for a while or leaves that’s a horrible defence. Not much up front. Some nice creative players but that’s not his forte.

There could be a high bar to stay up this year. Don’t think it’ll be possible to be ****, get 35 points and still be comfortably ahead.

Some new bloke up front for Everton after Beto was dogshit on Monday. Thiermo Barry? No me neither.

Grealish starts. He’ll light up the Hill Dickinson.

I agree ... but I think they'll be in the relegation mix along with the promoted teams, Wolves, Brentford and potentially the Hammers ... far less predictable this season than last ...

The thing looks **** on the outside... Think it's been designed wisely though with the stands being steep and close to the pitch... I suspect it will be difficult for away teams.

I think it looks nice situated on the water front. Some nice views out on the balcony with the commentary team. Just seen the view inside as the camera panned round, and one of the stands behind a goal has to be the steepest I've seen - you just know that's going to become a safety issue.

The area looks good and will be better at night, but I don't like the bricks or the giant delorian stuck on top.

The stadium inside is spot on though and should be good for the fans viewing the game there.

We've had this discussion before but I can't believe they've not put safe standing in the upper tier in that stand. Bound to be a few injuries when a last minute goal goes in.
