Yep. Before 17 a player is free to join who he wants.Isn't it until they sign a professional contract? Which I think they have to be 17 for.

You are getting that wrong. At anytime before his 17th birthday, he can choose to go and sign for someone else. An academy scholarship simply allows him to learn and train with your football club and use their facilities. That's what I thought - but the new contract is called an 'academy scholarship' and commits him to signing his first professional contract with us on his 17th birthday in 2026 - we've done it with a few - look at who he turned down to sign it ... PSG and Barcelona ... Citeh and Chelsea .... plus a few lesser lights

I’ve watched the second half and expected Liverpool fans to have been chanting Jota’s name all game. About half of them went through a 5 minute spell after the Nunez goal but that was about it.

You could be the only team in the 3rd division to win the prem.Only time will tell ... but I'd support them whatever ... won't get me opting to follow some random club for their success ... little time for such types... and whichever league we are in we will always remain the 6th club to win the Premier League ... that'll do, Donkey....![]()
