Fook knows what's going on with my club ... Chairman due to fly in tomorrow so hopefully some clarity soon after...

To be honest, this is what I hope doesn’t happen. He is your best bet against relegation.

I've watched none of the Club World Cup, so can't comment on the teams in it. I've no idea who plays for the team that beat them (City), will go look a bit later...

The more cynical side of me says did they throw the game for a brown envelope, but like I said, that's just me being cynical of it all. Afterall it appears to me the whole competition is about greed.

Pep from his words and line ups took it seriously.

Like you I’ve not watched it as have no interest but always nice to see City lose.

I just don't get any of it really, they complain about playing too many games, that impacts on the domestic competitions, which is replaced by more Champions League, and now this CWC! On top of that the International sides now take in the Nations League, which dispenses with friendlies and puts the more prime players under even more pressure physically. Oh and let's not forget we are now going to Jetset the World Cup ffs.

if a club refused to take part in the CWC they would be terrified of FIFA retribution plus it's a huge money spinner for the clubs involved .
Players want more money, clubs need more games to afford their wages and UEFA FIFA need bigger tournaments to pay their executives huge wages fund the development of football at all levels

I think it's like everything these days, it's no longer about giving the consumer a good product it's more about how much they can fleece out of the consumer. This has got to be getting to the stage now where it's all going to blow up in their face. All it needs now is one of the big clubs to go under or at some point the consumer is going to become bored with it all. I've not looked at the attendances for the CWC but I heard some were poor, but people generally highlight the negatives, it's what the average achieved over all and was it successful for the broadcasters, I never gave a single game a look, just watch the England U21's that was plenty for me....might watch some of the women, once I've fathomed out the decent nations....then again i might not. <laugh>
