I’ve just been listening to Simon Jordan talking about Leicester and now I understand a lot more. He said they’ve got a guy called Nick De Marco and he’s absolutely ****ed them. He’s tried to be clever by finding his way out down to jurisdictions on, by who and when they could be charged but now all the loopholes have been closed and the punishment will be severe because that will also be classed as aggravating factors.

Apparently they wormed their way out of the championship one because they knew they’d be told to sell players etc and they didn’t want to do that. In the end it’s all been pointless and all they’ve got is a single season in the premiership out of it.

Cheating bastards it sounds like and they could be ****ed for a long time, now. We’ll see.
Serial cheats mate, lets hope it catches up with them <whistle>

OK mate ... won the Portuguese league with Sporting and also did very well for his country ... but can't be compared with Gyokores because ... he did well in the Championship with Coventry ...

.. and the only time Gyokores has been 'prolific' is whilst playing in the same league, for the same club, as Slimani...

'Terrible comparison' ? ... or actually just the most accurate?
Terrible comparison. Gyokores is clearly a better footballer and better finisher. I reckon enough fans will have watched the two of them to make that comparison. Gyokores is still only 26. Two seasons he’s been prolific at Sporting and he banged over 20 goals in his last season in the championship.

It’s ridiculous to compare Gyokores with Slimani, wtf <laugh>

The name of Manchester United alone isn’t going to carry much weight with an elite player faced with multiple offers nowadays. Old Trafford itself certainly won’t. A few extra million as a signing bonus and £50k a week more than those other offers might.

Clearly a better footballer ... having only really been prolific for the same team in the same league as Slimani?

I'm sure he is a 'better footballer' - but he didn't do much at either Brighton or Swansea ... so I'll maintain - it's a huge step up into the Premier League ...

... and Joel Piroe scored 20 goals in the Championship for Swansea 2 seasons running ... would that be a better comparison?

Stick Piroe’s record up in the elite European competitions and we’ll have a look.

Slimani won the Afcon - don't make him great.

... and some of those European group games are like the earlier rounds of the League Cup <laugh>

Only time will tell ... and all I've really said is that it's a huge leap.

Slimani was a raging ****tard, played well in one game for us, but managed to get 3 match ban in that game with 3 games of the season left.

Scored a couple of worldies for us, but was generally disappointing - real handful if he could be arsed - which he often wasn't.

Signed in January loan window, injured for 2 months, meh for first 3 games, decent in next game, but manages to get a ban for rest of loan in that game, zero goals. We won't build a statue.

Equally bad was that Kennedy guy we got on loan from Chelsea at the same time, went from wonder kid to no hoper.

I doubt there's much lure in Man U these days tbh, as well as having no Europe, new players ain't gonna be enticed by being part of the worst Man U team ever.

Well they wouldn't be part of it would they, they'd be there to improve it, with members of that worst ever team having already left.

**** sake.

Not even footballers are this ****ing stupid mate.

That really wasn't my point. Obviously they'd be there to improve it, but the point was they're hardly an attractive proposition right now.

Ok, well sorry for me misunderstanding joining the worst team.

Well technically anyone who joins it right now is joining the worst team. And a lot of players will need to be signed to significantly change it, plus there's no guarantee Amorim will significantly improve even with a changed team either.

Why would a country winning the AFCON make one player, great?

If you don’t know much about him, just say. It’s quite obvious you’re just blagging this and making it up as you go along. Which earlier rounds? Gyokores has been playing champions league football all season and scored 6 goals in 8 games.

Comparing Slimani to Gyokores tells me and everyone looking in you don’t really know what you’re talking about. That’s how ridiculous it is. Sorry.
