Despite the club's poor season domestically, ex-Red Devils midfielder Paul Scholes is confident his former side will rise to the occasion in the final.

Nice little end to the season no matter what happens then. We have a guarantee that either Manchester United or Tottenham fans will get the wind taken out of their sales.

At least he can back it up though unlike some managers recently.

True that. They’ve been utter ****e since Fergie left but they’ve continued to collect trophies along the way.
 
So as Spurs and Man Utd are in the final, and the winner gets CL, does that take away one of the top five places or do we get this as an additional place?

It's sail's BTW, not sales. Unless you mean they were planning on selling players.

Would imagine additional... as it's always been 'the real prize' for winning it, irrespective of winner's country ...

Statto65 should be able to confirm - seems to spend more time on numbers than actual game watching <whistle>

When 2 British teams play a final overseas there is always the potential for knobbyness ... particularly given all day drinking in the sunshine ...

Wasn't really a dig at either club ... just an observation on scenario and a 'hope' that everyone behaves...
