Yeah very strange that
I always thought the UEFA was a great comp because invariably teams that were in it were challenging for the title as the team that had won it previous year was on a downer (unless they were dominating their league)
I always that the Champions League has to be just the Champions (and I realise we won it twice without winning the league but that’s not my fault), the clue is in the title

Tbh I wouldn't mind us being in the conference or the Europa.. They are pots we could win... Then just keep going.

I genuinely don’t know how good Bodo Glimt are
So I can’t really comment but your run to Carabao was definitely a tough one imho

Yeah it was far from having a lucky draw and worthy of a trophy for sure. Forest and Chelsea went with **** sides tbf, but the others didn't.

I agree - I think any of the English teams entering the conference have got to be feeling confident would not say should win it because that’s derogatory to the other leagues and Fiorentina should be decent enough, but you have got to be looking at going deep into these comps

did I read right that Maresca hasn’t gone with a full strength squad in that comp ?

There's very few clubs and fanbases that should have any kind of trophy snobbery. It's become really sad stuff actually when I see other totally unsuccessful clubs or clubs that haven't won anything for decades talking about mickey mouse cups.

I mean, Man United, Liverpool, City and Chelsea are probably the only fanbases that have a right to have that disease.

It's not easy to win a trophy these days.

I think if your are entering you should be trying to win it
Always have done
Mines not a snobbery - i just feel UEFA have sort of undermined their own products quality but I guess the plan is to get clubs more money and able to compete
But if that is the plan I think they need to redistribute the prize pots in each of the comps fairer but that’s a different chat
I understand prioritising trophies based on what you have won
But for me nothings a Mickey Mouse
The Club World Cup for me is one of the most desirable- and over the next few years I can see more being made of that comp

I think it actually comes from a childish kinda we didn't fancy her anyway mentality, but they all wanted to win it when they were in it.
