The cynic in me wonders if this is part wheeze to circumvent PSR / FFP bollocks - we only lost £19m in the Championship (recent published accounts) and our net spend this campaign will probably mean similar, possibly better - so promotion next season would, theoretically, mean we could 'substantially invest' for the following.. he's also had 11 academy lads in first team training since the start of the International break but isn't including any in the matchday squad... all rather odd ...

I'm more optimistic - Fatawu is back in training but won't be risked this season , him and Mavididi tore up the Championship last time and no reason they won't again ...

I don't see Ipswitch back any time soon - with the loan players gone and Delap to be sold, they're down to a mid table championship side really.
It's for doing Liverpool countless favours, then for returning some back to the other teams in weird moments of random karma - ie last goal and the Liverpool goal disallowed against Spurs last season.
