While its true we have been trigger happy with our sacking gun in the last 20 years, there are some sacking I agree with and some I dont.
Here is my view on all our sackings in the Roman and Clearlake eras.

Ranieri - Didnt agree
Mourinho - Didnt agree
Grant - Didnt agree
Scolari - Agreed
Ancelotti - Didnt agree
Villas Boas - Agreed
Di Matteo - Agreed
Benitez - Agreed
Mourinho 2.0 - Didnt agree
Conte - Didnt agree
Sarri - Agreed
Lampard - Agreed
Tuchel - Didnt agree
Potter - Agreed
Pochettino - Didnt agree
Maresca - Get rid please

Ranieri did a cracking job for you guys - any other club would have given him another season after that second place - but your owner was set on Mourinho and indeed he delivered, albeit with the squad that Ranieri had predominantly built ...

I am a little biased, of course...<laugh>

Salah and VVD have agreed to sign new contracts,Trent is going to Madrid.
That's the likely option I think. Trent has been brilliant for us under Klopp but the change in tactics that require him to defend just doesn't suit him, not sure how Madrid play that right side.

History aside - from a neutral perspective would you rather watch this or a Man United v Everton game right now?

No brainer for me - Bournemouth, in particular, have been a revelation - just wonder if fatigue and a small squad is catching up with them ...

....tonight's game has 0-0 written all over it now <laugh>

I might treat myself to Cardiff v Hull

Probably the owners, they are signing players, not for the betterment of the squad, but for future investment opportunities.
We were linked with Garnacho in January.
WTF would we need Garnacho, who plays as a winger or as a 10, when we have oodles of players in those positions. We have Palmer and Sancho who can play as a 10, and Madueke, Neto, Nkunku and Sancho can play as wide forwards......fully equipped in those areas.
We are crying out for a decent keeper and a striker, as Jackson, who is currently injured, is the only out and out striker really at the club, except for 19 year old Marc Guiu, who isnt getting a sniff, even with Jackson injured.
Our worry is, and this isnt just bantz because I am replying to you Spurly, is that our owners are going to turn us into Spurs and start treating us 100% as a business and not try to compete for trophies.

Guiu is injured which is why he hasnt had any opportunities with jackson out but yea our board is ridiculous

Since Bournmouth have pretty much a full team out injured naturally their match day squad looks stretched

Aye its great in hindsight to say if we hadnt have sacked Ranieri then we wouldnt have gotten Mourinho, and thats great, but I didnt know Mourinho was gonna be awesome when Ranieri was sacked, so I am just being honest about how I felt at the time.
Ranieri finished 6th, then 4th, then 2nd (noteably to the best Arsenal team in their history in the invincibles), so there was noticeable improvement every season.
So yeah, at the time, I wasnt happy about him going.
The worst was Ancelotti imo, wins the double, then finishes second the next season and was **** canned.....totally unfair imo. Basically it was, "Win the league every year or you are sacked" which is an unreasonable target for any manager imo.

Rumours you're in for Kelleher but I don't like the idea of strengthening the Chelsea team.
he'd be my first pick, then maybe Pickford if we cant get Kelleher.
As for strikers, Isak would cost too much and would probably see Chelsea as a sideways move at best or even a step down at this stage so I cant see that happening. Watkins is likely Emirates bound, so I think that exhausts our PL options so we will have to look abroad.

Guy finished runner up in both the PL and CL in his first season.....was two points and a John terry slip away from a league and European cup double.
And this was against that United team that had Ronaldo in his Ballon D'or winning season.
Were it not for CR7, Avram Grant would likely be a Premier League and Champions League winner.
