Liverpool on more than double United’s points tally after 25 games is wild.
And also....
5 points below Brentford
14 points below Bournemouth
18 points below Forest
This is quite a season.

I’m a big believer that if you score a goal then the other team need to score twice to win.
The key transfers in the Keegan era were Brian Kilcline and Rob Lee, both signed for small amounts when we were in the second tier.
... happens ... you've paid similar wage levels over the same period, I'm sure... but won **** all ... you win ... you've stayed in the Premier League - your fan base must be buzzing
... and guess what - the year we won the title, our wage bill was half yours ... and a quarter of United's... suck it up...

was it a couple of million….a record transfer for Newcastle
When we were all but guaranteed promotion.
Can you try talking about the signings of Rob Lee, John Beresford and Barry Venison in that season as well?
hold on a minute……
It’s all relative. Spunked out loads of money and were relegated.
not spent loads and this year look well set for relegation.
After winning the PL title (which you haven't) and the FA Cup - which you last won so long ago that it predates the current top English league ...
don’t really know that much about Newcastle to be fair. .

Relegation ain't death mate - but merely surviving in the PL as your biggest achievement since 1992 is the equivalent of being on a footballing life support machine ... just existing with little joy![]()
Quite a reach in the context of the conversation, but knock yourself out palwas it a couple of million….a record transfer for Newcastle
