Tbh Arsenal have been more consistent in winning trophies since football started than either Liverpool or Man Utd...you could claim that those two are johnny come latelys

Prior to the 1974 FA Cup final Newcastle had more trophies than Liverpool..

Shankley and Ferguson are the only reasons Liverpool and Man Utd have been so successful, they hadn't been before then.

Everton are into the decades now and they hate everyone including themselves at this point.

They probably think it's still a temporary fall from grace, but once they get over the 30 year barrier they'll start working it all out.

Talking from experience of course.

Agony? After the Ashley years and relegations I don't see reaching two cup finals in 3 years as agony.

If we lose, it'll hurt, but we're getting closer.

Of course these are great times compared to Ashley, goes without saying.
