One of my best away days - we won the old Second division there in the early 1980s- wasn't all ticket and they obviously weren't expecting the numbers we brought - the away terrace behind one goal was over packed because a few likely lads once inside pushed open the large exit gates and hundreds poured in ...

So they closed the turnstiles - but there were still loads outside - so they cleared the home fans from the opposite terrace - was bizarre - we watched as a line of police and stewards formed from top to bottom at one side then walked across ushering the home fans into the seats at the side - once done our remaining knobheads were allowed in ... crazy scenes ... and actually filled that terrace too.

The away terrace when I went was opposite the main stand, ie not behind the goals.
 
Think we went there in L1 we got the whole side of the pitch. Would assume if they got promoted they wouldn't do that again.
