Yes and no. I'd prefer to win obviously but at least losing to Tottenham I'd know it was a big event for them whereas if we get to the final and lose to Liverpool it'll be just a sort of stepping stone for them to bigger things, a kind of footnote in their season.

Yeah but losing a cup final to bottom half Spurs would be pretty embarrassing no?

I do take your point though, that's kind of how I felt in 2017. Had we won we'd have been talking about it for decades whereas it's likely already largely forgot for many United fans :(

Irrelevant anyway I'd guess as I can't see Spuds holding onto their lead at Anfield.

Yeah I'd give Tottenham a 10-20% chance of getting through tomorrow. If we face them in the final we'd probably be favourites on paper but only marginally. Their league position is due to so many injuries, if they get a couple of players fit and with their additions they could easily stuff us in a one off game, it would be one that could very much go either way. Add in them perhaps having nothing much to play for in the league and us pushing our players for league positions... toss of a coin.

Yeah you see I don’t agree with that
You’re going back over with him. No trophy in 5 years after all the money he’s spent is failure. This season was a perfect chance to nip in and win the league but his team have bottled it, as per.

You peaked last season. He signed Havertz to try and win the league. Let that sink in <laugh>

I see what you're doing and I don't appreciate it buddy
You would though, they’re ****e. I’ve had a feeling for a while this is your year for a cup. Seriously.

We signed Havertz and THEN we peaked?

For more than we spent on Isak and about treble the wages. Lolz.

That's actually very generous.
