OK I'll make it easier for you to understand.

Scholes couldn't tackle for ****, yellow cards after evertmy attempt usually.

Name me something on the pitch ability wise that Scholes could do better than Gerrard.

You won't be able to.

We’ll never know what Gerrard could have been as Liverpudlian gangsters threatened to break his legs if he left. Shame.

Scholes sucked his daughter’s toes though. Also a shame.

Man's been stealing a living for years <laugh>

Least he can do is leave gracefully tbh

I wouldn't be able to do what he did at Liverpool. Whether he could've done what I did at United, I don't know. I don't see why not. But I couldn't have done what he did at Liverpool, no."

Paul Scholes on Gerrard

the difference is, Scholes collected loads of trophies and was brilliant at United. Gerrard did okay, but if he were that good, he could never drag a half decent England team through a game.

Seventh probably isn’t far off where I’d have him. A bit higher but not #1 for sure. All pointless and subjective of course and difficult to compare eras. Had he not had the knee injury it might have been a different conversation.

He went:
1 - Thierry Henry

2 - Mo Salah

3 - Cristiano Ronaldo

4 - Eric Cantona

5 - Didier Drogba

6 - Wayne Rooney

7 - Alan Shearer

8 - Eden Hazard

9 - Dennis Bergkamp

10 - Gareth Bale

**** knows what Hazard is doing in there.

Kane pisses all over these let's be honest.

Close the thread.

As a player perhaps.

As a Premier League player Salah has far better goals to games ratio than Ronnie.

... but doesn't goals to games ratio really reflect the team rather than the individual?... unless you have a player like Messi, Best or Henry or could receive the ball on the halfway line and still get in on goal?

Best 'finishers' I have seen in our top flight in my lifetime - in no particular order ...

Jimmy Greaves
Dennis Law
Kenny Dalglish
Alan Shearer
Ian Rush
Ian Wright
Jamie Vardy
Gary Lineker
Luis Suarez
Erling Haaland

... that's not best players - but a reflection on who could finish - and didn't need penalties or free kicks but invariably put the ball in the net if given a sniff...
