You're not alone in that thought, but it's done now and maybe he can come in once the next chapter is over. We've never been very good at manager selections and our trophy drought is proof of that. At least I was on the planet when England last the world cup, not that I can remember fook all about that day, other than endless decades of reminders.

Personally I'm OK with Tuchel - may in fact be just what we need because his ego is up there with the very best (rightly so on what he's acheived) and he's unlikely to try and shoe-in 'names' at the expense of the best team ...

I think you are thinking back to the days when majority of the players were English, not dual nationals and the domestic leagues were majority British players.

Its all changed now…we ok with some players turning up for one country then another a few years later as well so tbh all the lines have changed from what I can see.
