Crazy that City let him go really. I know they have a stack of talent, but he’s up there with the best of them
He was a young player that had to wait his time, he didn't want to wait, it's the way it rolls sometimes. He chose Chelsea instead and plays every game, good on him, if he stayed at City he would have won trophies, he'll just have longer to wait, not seeing the big deal over it personally unless we are going to get precious about every young player that might have to occupy the bench space, I'm sure Liverpool have had their few in the past.
Think Poch did a lot of good for Palmer, he seems to do well with younger talent.
Pep couldn’t have kept him though, he wanted to leave as he wasn’t going to get regular football at City. City got £40million for an academy prospect, he got the regular football and Chelsea got a hell of a player. City didn’t miss him last season when they won the league. His rise has been unexpected to say the least but he wouldn’t be the player he is now if he had been forced to stay at City.
Most of their young players were absolute ****e last season. Wonder if City have a buy-back clause.
Watched MOTD last night - Vardy and Coleman booked for protesting about an obvious foul that got Arsenal the ball that they scored their first goal from - VAR? - if that's the other way around then the goal gets disallowed...
Buenanotte booked for waving an imaginary yellow card having been brought down by Calafiori as we were pressing for the lead at 2-2 ... kid rightly got booked for the gesture but the foul was an absolute yellow and the only reason the ref hasn't booked Calafiori is because it would be a second yellow and Arsenal down to 10 for the last 15 mins ...
Now I've no complaints about Arsenal getting the 3 points - they were totally dominant over the game itself - and whilst I don't (yet) subscribe to the theory that we are being targeted by the footballing powers for pulling down their pants on FFP / PSR, there seems little doubt that the biggest clubs are still getting the 'benefit' of generous decisions / VAR reviews ...
That said, we were pretty good in parts and defended pretty well and Hermandsen is a cracking keeper ... and that equaliser from James Justin? ... taken the lad a long time to come back from both an ACL op and ruptured achilles but he's looking much like his old self lately with a good run in the team ...

... either that or 'generous' sell on % ... they are pretty shrewd on deals - probably the former - when we bought Iheanacho from them at around the same age there was a buy back ... not that there was any danger of them exercising it

Pep persisted with Haaland even when he wasn't scoring and it cost them the League Cup, FA Cup and more importantly the Champions League, yeah he won the league, the top domestic prize but that just proved how shhite the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool were under Klopps final curtain - so much so they even cancelled Kloppy's farewell silverwear parade.
Teams like Liverpool and Arsenal could have gone in for Cole, but the Londoners showed their coaching teams know how to spot a world class player and will reap the rewards when Madrid come sniffing.
While in the mean time, Arteta will continue to cheat and fall when they even get in breathing distance of being Prem kings, and Liverpool fans will continue to hope, please, please, fingers crossed type of hope.
In the menatimes, Pep will lift another trophy, and another, and another, and say did someone mention Cole...oh and 115 charges dropped, please, please, fingers crossed, make it happen.

In fairness, if you're allowed to buy every player on the planet each summer, at least one diamond will emerge out of the dung heap.
Yeah this lot shouldn't be too much trouble for Rangers, but we know what they can be like. Seem to be knocking it about ok.
