He has to take MOTM for that, saved them in the dying moments as well when Sesko went through on goal. Adding three straight penalty saves afterwards is mental, can’t remember seeing a keeper saving the first three before.

Thank fck those ****s are out. Imagine watching 10 men behind the ball in the final. Fck off.

Looking forward to France vs Portugal. Expect the French to go through but hopefully it'll be a good game with two teams at least attempting to attack.

He also missed two excellent chances (by his standards) prior to that, so let’s hope he’s got his eye in now.

His eye in? ... the problem is not him converting chances that have been put on a plate ... it's that he's rather immobile otherwise and slows us down to pedestrian pace ...

Been out most of the day so only saw the extra time in the Portugal Slovenia game ... but what drama ... did listen to the France game on the radio ... Deschamps seems to have contracted the same ego madness as Southgate ... and France are strangely out of sorts and looking vulnerable...

That the 2 best teams by a country mile (so far) have to play each other in the quarters is a huge slice of fortune for either the French or the Portugeezers... and possibly England...

You and I are on different sides of the football spectrum. But I have to ask, if trophies are so important to you why do you stick with QPR? Same question to brb who claims trophies are all that matters and follows Gillingham.
Very strange. If you all want trophies support City who buy them every year.

Not all trophies mate ... but it was nice to win both the Premier League and FA Cup in the last decade ... although I seldom mention it. in case it upsets some of the more fragile types <whistle>

... and Everton are Championship level?

To be fair I would have agreed with him even 12 months ago. Didn't want him when we signed him, didn't see the point in signing him and it took a good time for him to get to the required fitness levels.

However, last 12 months I can honestly say I've never changed my mind so much on a player before, he's been superb.

Yet England/Southgate got shhite when up against them, and yet no one managed to beat them over the 90 mins. I said at the time they were good defensively, or they were going to hurt your players, especially the younger ones like Palmer and Mainoo if played.

Kane has taken a lot of stick but Wrighty has it right he has had no service. Kane never rushes about the pitch I think it was Sherwood who gave him his debut at Spurs and suggested he either walk of run but not the amble that he does <laugh> Kane is a master of being in the right place like Greaves was all those years ago. Who also used to get stick for not running enough. Balls into the box have been few and far between from England but they score almost as soon as they do. It's not difficult Southgate just get balls into the box.

Sorry mate ... you surely aren't comparing Hazza the Tortoise to Greavsie? ...

Jimmy was quick, mobile and could turn defenders inside out before dispatching with aplomb... he didn't need 'service' he could make his own chances if he had the ball anywhere in the opposition half ...

They were solid defensively. I just don't get the ****ing from Guy Mowbray and that ferret Keown about them parking the bus for 120 mins and doing fck all going forward. I wouldn't have minded if they were decent on the couple of occasions they had a chance to score but they were ****.

Tbh I can't stand that ****e in a tournament, fcking waste of a last 16 spot imo. If they'd made the next round we'd be watching that ****e against France as well. Fck that.

They bottled their big chance near the end.

Bit worried about the Swiss though. beat Italy, drew against Germany, beat Hungary, can't really count the Scots.

Swiss, Austrians and Romanians have been the big surprises in the tournament so far ... and if they can avoid Spain...<whistle>

<laugh>

I'm worried but funnily enough expecting a good game. I don't know why, maybe because it's so unpredictable, I think there'll be chances created by both sides. Lets hope we take them and they dont.

Also looking forward to seeing what Austria do btw.
