The expectation was to get out of the group stage, we did that. Slovenia were good defensively, we were through, why risk anything to gain nothing additional. We will have a full strength and fit squad to chose from for the next game.

Like I said, not much of an England fan.
And also based on the last three results, my expectation is that England will get knocked out of this tournament as soon as they play a team that is half decent, so England going out will track with my expectations completely.

Luke Shaw will not be match-fit, mate ...

... and the uber stubborn Southgate will almost certainly persevere with Turn-back Trippier... and thereby hamstringing our attacking potential down the left ...

Need Slovakia and Georgia to finish last in their groups to complete an acca but Slovakia looks unlikely. Cash out is about double the stake but not worth it really. Relying on Ukraine to pull it out the bag for morale back home.

Was pretty much a boozer with a great selection of ales and bar snacks last time I was there.

There've obviously upped their game. Not been the Pen y Cae for ages, is the Copper Beech still going as well?

I'm surprised @FosseFilberto not been to any of these, he goes visiting up Ystrad way I think.

Well if that's what it says on paper, we can't expect anything better as that would be entitled. Never mind we all know we've a very good squad, it's beyond anyone's expectations for them to be coached/play well.

I'd expect nothing more than a loss to the Dutch anyway TBF.

I’d go with that but I also think there’s a case to be made for bogey teams etc. Sometimes you can just never seem to get the better of a team no matter when you play them.

I fancy our chances as much against Netherlands as I did against Denmark, draw or a single goal deciding it. Always nice though if we could give the oppo a battering. I'm hoping that Southgate has been playing mindgames all this time, and he gets the bare minimum without giving too much away, but that's me hoping he's going to pull some psychological blinder and we come away with a trophy, dreams eh.

Netherlands are crap right now too. Could easily win it 1-0 in a boring game where you could count the number of attempts on your fingers.
