Strange really because it wasn't that long ago i was wondering where he disappeared to. I thought then I wondered if he was poorly, normally the reason if someone disappears from our screen. I think Roy Keane is the only present day pundit I like, and even he can grate at times, there's only so many times you can put up with the grumpy act. I don't particularly like Souness, I think he tried to do the Keane act but he just comes across as whiney, anyway, back to the great man...

They used to just tell us when the ****ers were dead...there's no need to make a big song and dance about it by reporting that they're in hospital first imo.... journalists are heartless

I know I'm not after him I just think the way they sell these stories is a bit distasteful...they know it gets clicks...hopefully he's OK

I once realised he was sat on the table next to mine when I was out eating with my wife in the Side Room in Liverpool. That was 10-15 years ago though and at that time I can confirm he was very much alive.

I think he was ushered off the airways after a few wording faux pais regarding calling black players "coloured". It certainly happened around the time he stopped iirc.

One thing Hansen, Keane and Souness all had was an incredible desire to win ... supporters of Liverpool and United were very lucky to have such characters - huge factors in their successes back in the day ...

Hansen was clearly a rival but there's no doubt he was a great player and so what's wrong with reporting he's unwell.

And he uttered the best line ever in the history of football punditry "You'll never win anything with kids!"

Thanks though Munse at least we now know why Toon fans didn't give a fck when Bobby Robson was ill. <whistle>

I don't think he's talking about the players, there's no 'we' or 'us', I think it's aimed at pundits/media/fans.
