You still spent money which you didn't have and a level of money that potentially could bust any club, but it was still allowed. I've advised the lawyers at Forest to ask to the Prem for a 23 year repayment deal and we'll say no more about it.

Repayment deal on what though?

Players?

Wages?

Neither of those are guaranteed as security against a loan. Players could be crap or get injured. Wages could be wasted.

What you're describing is more or less what Chelsea have tried to do to get around the issue, drawing up contracts 8-9 years in length in order to buy players and pay wages they can't really afford.

Not a single equity fund, bank or government would look at the proposal you're suggesting for Forest and take it seriously. It isn't a reliable investment

You trying to tell me Spurs haven't got any crap players, still didn't stop you spending a billion quid you didn't have <laugh>

The world of finance gives no guarantees as covid proved, yet Spurs still took the risk, yet other owners who do have wealth, well the rules don't allow.

On the one hand I can see how PSR can be a good thing... on the other hand I really couldn't give a fck.

Jaysus the day I start looking at other clubs' profit and loss accounts to the extent I see being discussed I'll know I've lost all love for the game.

How have we ended up here where we're discussing spreadsheets. Just give me a good match to watch and enjoy (or get fcked off about) and I'm happy. Bollox to the rest.

You're missing the point ... FFP is a farce ... who set the parameters? - how come the personal wealth of owners isn't factored in? - in normal business environs it's common - usually in the form of a 'parental guarantee' ... the way FFP is currently set up is to the distinct advantage of the Big 6 who have the biggest stadiums and biggest commercial income streams

... and guess what ... the richest clubs always win the most ...

You strike me as the kind of wassock that would happily see Citeh stripped of trophies and those then handed to the next team down the table that did comply ... even if that was a team in mid-table (e.g. Spurs - open top bus already booked) ... but the reality is that Citeh didn't cheat on the pitch ... they were simply better at the game ... and that is all <ok>
All good saying they didn't cheat on the pitch but every single player of that sqaud wouldnt be there had citys owners not cheated the books for over a decade to obtain them.

All you dickheads saying City aint been charged yet cos its complicated lol

Nah uts cos they have done exactly what they done with uefa, withheld evidence, appealed everything twice or more, even down to the judge overseeing the case.

They are dragging this out because they are guilty as and we all fuking know it.they know it, the orem knows it and uefa found them guilty of it.

They won the treble whilst on a suspended European ban, that they swerved because they delayed it so long it wasn't punishable.

Pep wouldnt be there without the financial cheating either.

Man probably never heard of man city til he got his secret wage paid into a shell company in Switzerland. Haaland the same, 51m lol my fuking arsehole his dad was paid 47m by city to get him in the door so all this bullshit about not cheating on the pitch is pure bollocks <laugh>

Oh and the pgmol tefs that work part time for city group <laugh><doh>
