Can you imagine what Newcastle or Sunderland fans would be like in this situation? If nothing at all was riding on it for themselves but a loss would hurt their rivals?

I'd honestly expect the home fans to have learned the chants for the opposition and be cheering them on all game, perhaps to the extent of booing their own players to add to the pantomime atmosphere. Think it would be jovial rather than vicious but the outcome would be the same either way. Not sure what Arsenal or their fans were expecting really, I've seen a few people refer to it as a dilemma. I don't see a dilemma...

Thanks. It was piss easy really. We had a tough draw against a good side from Manchester later. They were better. Wore a light blue kit.

Edit - Sorry - that was the FA cup. The team we fluffed against in the league cup wore dark blue. Dodgy bastards from London.
