Kind of would prefer City to win the league but that replay news and Guardiola whining about his players having to play football was pathetic. Guess it’s more interesting if they both keep winning.

Was the Klopp announcement a good idea, seems to have put pressure on club/players on short deals unsure of future.

I don't think it was a bad thing.

Putting rivalry to one side and not taking the piss at all but it would only have been negative if Livpl had been on a winning streak over the past couple of seasons. Then the players' attitude and hunger drops imo bcos it's almost like they wind down. That's what happened with Fergie in 2003.

But Livpl didn't have a good season last year so I would've expected players to up their game bcos he is leaving. They would want to make a point of it. And maybe they tried their best to do just that but something's been missing. The front 3 too reliant on Salah. The back 4 being chopped and changed. Midfield finding their feet in their first season together.

And just to extend the point, if Pep did the same based on their past couple of seasons successes I'd expect the players performance to dip.

TBH, every pundit was trotting out the “7 year itch” comments about Klopp which, even though they’ve failed at the last hurdle, he’s kind of proved them wrong. With a newish midfield, a disappointing front line, and a number of injuries to key players, I think 3rd would not be a bad season.

His brand of football is good, he gets players who you wouldn't normally consider to be great to punch above their weight, and much as it grates me to say it, every player buys into his style and play. They will, and have, no doubt played for him. And after last season, with him leaving this season, they would've wanted to give their all. But like you say other things mean it's not been enough (and I wouldn't be surprised if they're still in it if City and Arsnl fck up).

Palace have stuck £60M price tags on Olise and Eze which would be great business for any club until you take into account their injury records.

They are both cracking players who would fit in at a top club. But like you say, it’s a gamble with their injury records.

That said. I’d love to see Olise at Arsenal

We all Brighton tonight then ?

Might even hang my rainbow flag from the window in support <ok>

More Palestine flags than rainbows these days though one of the neighbours has an Extinction Rebellion one on the balcony of his/her circa £500k flat.

Dreadful weather suits neither team but Brighton have been awful recently.

Ain't that a lynching in cornwall if you get caught?
:bandit:

You make it sound like the Cornish are a bunch of backwards thinking, pasty chomping, inbred, sheep shagging yokels who eat their own babies.

It's such a stereotypical charactarisation

When they actually prefer shagging goats
