Anybody got a link for the Arsenal game ?

VIP league seems to be ****ed :(

Some kid putting his hand up like that means fook all to me. Like what you want, a signature on your hand?

It certainly doesn't look great but you can see he pats both kids on the shoulder.

It's the fact that he turns back around to engage with the white kid that makes it look off.

You're right.

The main thing we're looking at is the exponential increase in revenue year on year, with a portfolio that is diversified in such a way that things like CL money is a nice bonus rather than the be all and end all of our financial health.

Villa are an example of the latter. They've gambled huge piles of debt on qualifying for the CL next season. If they don't, they're heading the same way as Everton and Forest unless they sell some big names to offset the losses. They have no other way of making significant sums of money other than those two options, which makes it a high risk strategy.

By contrast, and this is entirely due to having a multi purpose stadium, Spurs have those two options plus another 3-4 more with a further 2 major developments for revenue streams in the pipeline.

I'd only be worried about debt if I couldn't see a clear and relatively certain plan in place to keep it manageable and eventually (i.e. once the stadium is paid of/starts paying for itself) non existent.
i understand all that the question is do you understand the difference between profit and loss

Yes

And I am confident that said profits lie just around the corner and are, to a greater extent than possibly any club in world football, not dependent on constant success on the pitch (which is good as we don't have any <laugh>).

Compare it to Arsenal and their stadium build that saddled them with enormous debt at much higher interest rates, and because the Emirates is effectively single-function, the only way they could shift the debt was by hoping they did really well at that single function for the duration of the repayment terms. They didn't, and had to default to Option B (selling key players and limiting spending) pretty quickly. And all of that in a world well before FFP was invented.

Through concerts, NBA, NFL, International tournaments, rugby, boxing and now go-karting, with hospitality and residential projects in the pipeline, our portfolio is incredibly diverse. Lots of eggs in lots of baskets.

No trophies in any of them, mind. Just eggs.

but like I asked, what does it mean a kid putting his hand up like that...I'm sure the parents will claim psychological trauma from this event and lots of freebies as a result. When all it really done was told the kid to put his hand down and stop being a jerk - we see these kids every week, often holding banners asking if they could have the players shirt. It appears the word no, or I'm going to ignore this brat is no longer allowed to be used.
