He left Chelsea because he was on 80k a week and he was watching no name, no mark ****s like Caicedo, Cucurella and Mudryk join Chelsea and getting 150k a week contracts and was like "Hang on a minute, these guys are ****, and Ive been at the this club since I was like 7 and won a champions league here, WTF are these gimps getting twice my salary".
And then when our owners stalled on his new contract he thought "**** em, then" and moved on.
Luckily he isnt a huge miss, and hasnt done very well at United, but I still hold no ill will toward him for wanting out.
Also he could probably see what a circus Chelsea was turning into....its just a shame for him he picked a club that was also ****ed.

There is the narrative about the UEFA coefficient and 5th spot opening up for the CL (which I think is a total nonsense as we are just moving further and further away from the actual definition of 'champions' but that's for another time).

Although iirc England picks up much more coefficient points from Europa and Conference, although I have no idea why that's the case.

Probably due to a briefcase of rare Rolexes sent by random Albanian and Slovenian clubs to Ceferin's office.

wouldnt mind Arteta doing okay, old Evertonian and that. But would also not be fussed if the rest fail…unless it’s for a back to back city treble to annoy Sucky
