Quite a significant scrap that.

Ive guarded a few games before and a few Ice Hockey games.

The issue is just the sheer number of idiots who get in the way, like a deer in headlights and can't move themselves from a position. They panic, plant themselves and don't want to move in fear.

Then you have the way these stands are designed, you can't get between anyone or anything.

Its all about making sure ******s don't get in in the first place because policing after the fact is a difficultly

Colleague of mine is at the game, said apparently some 'fans' were trying to force their way into the section where the partners and children of the players were sitting.

That's just messed up.

I don't know if it's anything like my lot, but we have a specific area for the players families and guests to sit, the only thing is it's the adjacent corner to the away fans, so the easiest one to get at.

I know a few of the players families sit there, Furlong's dad is always there.

Wasn't really a 'battering'.

In fact it was one of the dullest CL finals in history.

It was like we both exhausted the supply of drama and excitement in our respectively mad semi final games.

But no arguments, Liverpool deserved to win.
