Or no one shouts anything but a player says they did
Cause obviously with players and managers being the paragons of virtue this would never happen

my word there are some cock wombles running the game

Problems generally occur from my experience due to inaction by stewards and home stewards being too friendly with the fans on their own turf, even when it's plain as day whose the offender. Much like the incident that occurred at my lot, stewards did fook all, just stood and well...did nothing, it wasn't until a fuss was made that the culprit was apprehended - sadly some fans will turn a blind eye. The next problem you get as a consequence is fans from the same club turning on one another, which generally spreads to social media, because it's social problem not just a football problem. Most sections of fans want to protect the club, but some sections don't want the game being policed to this level. Hitting lower league clubs hard in the pocket helps restore order, not sure what you can do at a higher level, where financial penalties are not such a burden. I don't pretend to have the answer btw.

It's very hard to punish clubs for the actions of individual fans because the law of averages dictates that every club will have its quota of twats ... punishing the clubs won't stop the repulsive acts of individuals, either in the grounds or on social media - and talk about points deductions or forfeiting games will only lead to abuse ... has to be sanctions on the individuals - catch them, name them, fine them, ban them and, in extreme instances, jail the ****ers ... no loss to the human race.

I can't be asked to check but from memory I think from my lot, he now has a stadium ban and is due a court appearance. I know our club had already been fined once, around £12k...money which could have been better spent on our L2 club...dread to think what the next upcoming penalty will be.

So let's act out this scenario... Arsenal at home last game of the season, need to win to lift the title, but on 90 mins it's 0-0. But Pinkie has come up with a masterplan, he got a ticket in with the Everton fans and shouts some abuse...Everton forfeit the match, Arteta wins an asterisk title.

Hmm suppose it's worth it for the bantz of Pinkie getting jumped by a load of scousers on live tv.

Arsenal with a shot at title on final day? Piskie attending a football match?

Come on mate at least make it realistic <whistle>

I do agree though that it'd be incredibly open to abuse. Albeit I'd expect it would apply to mass chanting that you see abroad rather than the odd idiot you get here.

Games behind closed doors is a better option for me.

I seem to remember there was another incident at yours involving racial abuse aimed at the family of a black player who played for Walsall.

Hmmm just googled that one and certainly don't remember anything about it, despite it being in the media. Strikes me as odd tbph, because it said it happened in the away end, so not sure how it was possible to abuse individuals that distance from home fans. Another bit that don't add up to me is that players family have their own section, where complimentary tickets are issued and that is adjacent to the away end, in adjoining corners - I've been in that section and you certainly wouldn't get away with abusing anyone in there. I'm wondering if the abuse was actually from within the Walsall section (away section) themselves as the comments in the following article state Walsall will issue a lifetime ban once the person is found...

Edit: just looked on the saddlers forum, appears it was one of their own, who travelled down on the coaches, mad eh. Thought it was odd I didn't know about it...

I suppose this highlights the problem of authorities being careful before issuing points penalties. It happened at Gillingham, so do you issue the points deduction to Gillingham (stewarding), or to Walsall offending their own lol.

Couldn't remember the details but knew I'd read something on the day after it happened <ok>

Never thought they were out of it
Could see spurs getting in on it too

Can't see Spurs winning it - too leaky at the back and their style will see them lose too many games.

I like watching them mind you!

Arsenal could put a run together and go close but I just don't see them finishing above both Liverpool and City.

Maybe one of them.

Liverpool keep finding a way of winning and just don't loose too often.

City aren't as good as some years but with VDB back and their history of putting a run together and getting over the line its difficult to look elsewhere.

Liverpool have Spurs (h) and Villa (a) before Wolves at home - some tricky fixtures.

City have got an easier run-in of Wolves (h), Fulham (a), West Ham at home.

Can't see City dropping points in those 3 but I can see Liverpool drawing or losing to either Spurs or Villa.

See that Newcastle are selling players, FFP that.

first it’s Almeron or however you spell his name. Remeber when he scored a few goals after Grealish took this piss. Other than that I don’t know much more about him. Who next

How are they having to sell?

Didn't think they've spent too much.
