Yeah, the dropping down a competition for not being good enough is ****. It's ridiculous that if you get knocked out the CL and into the Europa in the qualifying round, then make it to the group stage in that and come 3rd, you'll be in the Europa conference in Feb. That's all 3 European competitions in the same season, wtf?Bottom line mate is it’s been a nice money making adventure, a few decent results for our first season in a lethal group and we move on. If we qualify for knock outs I’d take that otherwise knock us out everything. This europa thing is utter bollox. Teams in that should have a clear chance to win it without bigger clubs dropping in as a default
That said I was kinda hoping we'd come 3rd in our group so we could go and defend our European trophy.
I didn't watch any of the European football last night, because my lot were playing - the lights went out during the game, seems like Newcastle's lights also went out in the 98th minute.
