That man Lukaku again for Roma tonight. Trailling 0-1 at home to Lecce, Azmoun (sub) strikes with the equaliser in the 91st minute and Lukaku strikes the winner in the 94th minute to push Roma up to 7th in Serie A.

I really don't know how far Roma can go to be honest. They just don't seem to have the money there to consistently build to get into the top 4.

But the Prem don't work on a mini league table and City are still top. You've only done it to some how show Spurs are below you, but as we all know they are not, even if they lost tomorrow they would still not be below you, because Arsenal are shhite, their manager is shhite, even their fans are shhite. So you've wasted your time to produce a pointless piece of nothing. Happy to help.

Nah, I agree they are never going to make top four, but I think even their fans realise that. I think where they are now 7th is as good as it gets. They are probably like a Brentford, grateful where they are and just pleased of any upsets they can cause, but it's never going to get any better than that. I think as long has Jose gives them hope with some form of European trophy, then he'll keep rolling on until someone gets bored. I'm quite happy with Jose staying in Serie A, he can't do any harm over there lol. Our refs and rules now, would be banning him every game.

That's a crazy result really. Reminds me of Northwich Victoria.

Remember that game well as in our uni house the people who supported lower league teams said it was obviously the game we should have on but Hull v Stoke was on Sky in the Prem and the Spurs/Arsenal fans we lived with wanted that on. We all stuck a few quid on Northwich at some stupid price and it paid for a few bottles of Glen’s vodka.

I remember it as we played them the midweek after in the paint pot the year we won it iirc.

You must be looking forward to the 1st round next year given your excellent FA Cup record.

Yes fond memories of losing at home on penalties to a bunch of blokes who worked in a Vauxhall factory near Liverpool after failing to beat them twice. It’ll make a refreshing change from losing to the most boring Championship team we’re playing in the league in the same week.

Proper classic that one. Up there with Roy Essandoh in my favourite FA cup moments.

Pretty embarrassing for Charlton, but unfortunately “par for the course” over the last few years.
Supposedly made 11 changes to our normal match day team, which does go some way to explaining how **** we were, as the normal match day team are pretty hopeless <laugh>

Yeah that was great. Lawrie Sanchez celebrating in some **** room under the stand in a rain-soaked banker’s coat after calling a linesman a bent nonce for bottling a penalty call.

Quite mad to think that was this century. If you look at the game now you'd think we're much more than 22 years away from something like that being even remotely possible.

Sort of halfway between Forest winning the European cup and now so I’d say it feels about right. Football is definitely closer to the early noughties now than that time was to the early 80s apart from the money.

I thought Spurs were at Chelsea tonight, only just seen they are at home. Probably a bit more hopeful for the Spurs win then. I don't want Spurs to lose because it keeps it tight at the top, although a draw with lots of goals would make it more exciting for this neutral, 2-2, 3-3 something like that. I don't think Chelsea are as bad as people make out, so that probably means I'm wrong and Spurs will thump them.

Spurs lose this and they can kiss the Top 9 cup goodbye.
